Natural Skin Care Products for Treating Rosacea

by Martha Fitzharris

Approximately 15 million people in North America are believed to have rosacea. This chronic skin condition affects mostly fair-skinned people between the ages of 30 and 40. However, most of the people affected by rosacea are unaware of it and attribute their symptoms to other problems.

Facial rosacea is the most common form of rosacea and is characterized by:

*blushing easily

*redness of the cheeks, nose, and forehead

*small bumps on the chin, nose, cheeks, and forehead

*small blood vessels that appear on and around the nose and cheeks

The most conventional rosacea remedies include identifying and avoiding triggers, and keeping your core temperature under control. Laser therapy can help eliminate small blood vessels on the nose. Also, rosacea products can help treat the swelling and redness that comes with this condition.

The Right Remedies for Rosacea

Rosacea can also be treated with a variety of natural products. For those people that have no idea which product is right for them, here is a list of creams, supplements, and natural herbs that can help alleviate rosacea and its symptoms.

*Green Tea Cream

Green tea contains polyphenols which are thought to improve health. It is known to treat various illnesses such as heart problems, cholesterol and cancer. When used as a rosacea cream it reduces the number of red bumps and pustules that usually appear on the skin.

*Niacinamide Cream

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 that has been used to treat rosacea. It is believed to improve the skin's moisture level, improve the skin barrier, and reduce inflammation. Some professionals have suggested that oral Niacinamide could also be used for the treatment of rosacea.

*Azelaic Acid Cream

This acid slows down the growth of skin bacteria helping reduce redness, papules, and pustules. Azelaic acid cream has also helped reduce the dryness, burning, and itching associated with rosacea. Exercise caution when you are using this product because it may cause stinging.

*Plants & Herbs

Several plants and herbs are being used to treat rosacea. One such product that can help reduce the redness associated to rosacea is licorice.

Other plants and herbs include: rose hip (seed) oil, chamomile, aloe vera, red clover.

*Digestive Enzymes

Here's something you probably didn't know. Rosacea sufferers also show signs of indigestion. A study discovered that a lipase deficiency - meaning the deficiency of a pancreatic enzyme - can both cause indigestion and rosacea. The subjects being tested were given lipase supplements and both their indigestion and rosacea improved.

*Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is an excellent detoxifier. It helps stimulate the release of digestive enzymes and helps regulate the bacterial balance of the intestines. You can take it in liquid form or in tablets.

BIOSKINCLEAR is an excellent natural acne treatment gel that can help eliminate rosacea. This amazing rosacea treatment cream comes from a family of skin care products that contain snail serum. BIOSKINCLEAR, however, also contains licorice root extract to help you deal with your rosacea symptoms.
