Natural way of Getting rid of Acne Scars and Blemishes
There has been an increasing interest in finding natural methods to get rid of acne scars and marks. Fortunately, there are some methods that can be used to eradicate these unsightly blemishes left behind by acne.
One of the most positive aspects about using natural home remedies is their low cost since most of the ingredients you need are probably already in your kitchen. The two negative aspects of home remedies are that the effects can take longer to notice and they can vary greatly from individual to individual. Patience and consistency are key factors when you choose to try out natural remedies for acne scar removal.
Natural Acne Scar Removal
Before you begin a routine that includes a natural home remedy for acne scars and marks, wash your face with warm water. Always test out the product on a small area of skin to make sure that it does not produce irritation or an allergic reaction. Also remember that all of the following remedies can be diluted with water to produce a gentler mixture.
Garlic
Because garlic has so many health benefits, it is considered a wonder food. It has also been used in the treatment of acne scars and marks left by pimples. If you choose to use garlic, though, take care to rinse it off immediately if you feel a burning sensation.
For this home remedy, finely grate a clove of garlic and mix with two tablespoons of water. Apply the garlic paste to the affected area and massage. The garlic will exfoliate the skin and remove a layer of scar tissue, so do not leave it on for more than five minutes.
Always apply aloe vera directly to the treated area after you have washed off the garlic paste. Aloe vera will rehydrate your skin and protect it without causing further irritation.
Lemons and Tomatoes
Both of these fruits have a high citric acid content which is excellent for cleaning and rejuvenating the skin. They have been used for years in natural skin treatments. Tomatoes, in particular, are known to inhibit the production of sebum because of their high Vitamin A content.
When you use lemon juice, just squeeze a tablespoon of juice. Simply apply the lemon juice with a cotton ball to your skin before bedtime. Leave it on for about ten minutes and clean the area with a mild cleanser.
Apply the tomato juice the same way you would apply the lemon juice. Rinse of the juice after ten minutes.
It is always best to use fresh natural products. The canned versions can contain additives that might produce side effects and reduce the full effect of the natural components.
There are several other natural and inexpensive ways to treat acne scarring. Remember the results of natural scar treatment can vary from person to person. Be patient and you will see how your mild acne scars and marks respond favorably to natural home remedies.
